Tuesday

They have decided Bill can come home on Thursday. Hooray. I will meet with the social worker this afternoon to talk about what care he will need. He is doing well, and I am hoping we will not have to have him “homebound” when he gets home. I may need help from friends to transport to therapy at HCHC. The social worker is checking to see how often that will be and how they can coordinate to reduce the number of appointments. Will write more when I know.

Hooray!!! Homeward bound is great news. I will wait to call Bill at home when he can just relax and talk instead of calling him while he is still in the hospital. Bill, my message to you is “I knew you could do it old friend.” Continue the good work and God speed.

Goody, goody. Bill, I’m mailing photo of McGlynn from 1953 Ultima. Know when you see it, you’ll remember. Everything’s a go for tmw @ 630. Will let you know later tmw eve or Thurs morn. Guess you can shake your head now, Thelma, and let the hair flare out. Heck, less than 50 days ain’t so bad, eh?

So glad to hear Bill is headed home soon. I loved the story of how you two met. I’m not sure I’ve heard that story before. Very sentimental and sweet! Everyone sounds more relaxed and happy than just a week ago. Hooray!

I hope the school year is off to a quiet start, Thelma. ….or did you have to hit the ground running?
    Love, Jan

WAY TO GO BILL and you too Thelma. Hope things get a little more normal soon. Loved your story ,Bill, about the first time you met Thelma,((but I COULD tell more.) You two are a perfect match. Hope to able to talk to you soon.
My daughter Lori (she is #2) leaves next week for her Military Duty. Don’t know if I told you or not, but she is a Navy reservist called to active duty for a year. Luckily she will be state-side. She will be in CA at the Camp Pendleton Hospital and I will be in Memphis at her home taking care of Andrew ,11, and Maddison, 9, for the next year. I have been praying for you, Bill. Now maybe you can say a little prayer for me. ha ha. Really, they are good kids, just been a long time since I have had fulltime care of young ones.
Wishing you speedy recovery Bill and you Thelma, a good school year.
